Hello, my name is Lilli Stock!

I am the CEO of JustMusic. I am very pleased that you are interested in our history.

My father Jochen founded JustMusic to Berlin in 1977 – at that time still under the name "Drumland". In addition to studying business administration, he wanted to earn money with a shop for drums. At that time, he could not even imagine what dimensions it would be taking. He introduced me to the industry early on. Working in the music business has always been an important part of our lives.

From the very beginning, my father wanted to run a music shop where passionate employees offer excellent advice to customers and the best possible experience of buying musical instruments takes place.

Everyone remembers his first instrument. This memory and learning of the instrument should be special. That's why we founded our music school in 1991, where we still support the passion of aspiring musicians without wanting to be a competitor to music schools.

In 1980 the "Drumland" became the "Sound & Drumland" with an ever-expanding assortment and two shops in Pariser Straße and Fasanenstraße in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. In 1991 there was the first "JustMusic" shop with another Berlin store in the Rathauspassage. In 2001, the store moved from the Rathauspassage to the Kulturbrauerei. After years of planning, we opened our FlagShipStore at Moritzplatz in 2013. With this store my father fulfilled his dream - a big house of music in the middle of Berlin.

In the meantime, my father has retired from the operational business of JustMusic. With Timo Könnecke and a strong team behind me, the course is set for the future of JustMusic.

We are proud to be one of Germany's leading instrument dealers. As a family business, it is important to us that you feel comfortable in our store. Each of our employees is enthusiastically addicted to music and stands by you with advice. We are convinced that buying instruments is a haptic experience, as "The Who" describe it it in their song "See Me, Feel Me".
