LD-Systems has expanded its DEEP2 series with a powerful amplifier that is also designed for 2 ohm operation. The main data are 2 x 1200 W into 2 ohms, 2 x 950 W into 4 ohms and 2 x 600 W into 8 ohms RMS power. Like the other models in the DEEP2 series, the DP2400X operates in Class H circuitry with a conventional power supply. The protection circuits are also identical to the DEEP2 series. Likewise, the fans are switched in 2 stages depending on the temperature. As a special feature, the power amplifier has a switchable 12 dB low-cut or 12 dB low-pass filter tunable from 25 Hz to 150 Hz in each of the two channels. This circuit variant of the crossover allows the use of the LD DP 2400 X as a bass power amplifier, but also for the realization of a bi-amping system. The filter functions can be switched off and thus the power amplifier can also be used in the conventional way.
