Mackie's popular VLZ series is now entering its 4th generation. Visually a bit improved, the consoles are still solidly built, so Mackie lives up to its motto Build like A Tank. Internally, the series has been equipped with the popular Onyx mic pre-amps, promising even better sound. As usual, the VLZ series mixers offer high output reserves. However, nothing has been changed in the channel and bus architecture. Why should that be? After all, the mixing consoles have been successfully offering the best features for mixing for more than 25 years.
