The AKG C411 is a condenser microphone (body transducer) for miking acoustic stringed instruments. It is glued directly to the instrument and picks up sound from the surface of the resonating body. The frequency response of the AKG C411 is specifically tuned for acoustic string instruments. The sound of the instrument is reproduced in an unaltered and very natural way. Since acoustic instruments vibrate differently at different points, the timbre can be varied depending on the sound pick-up point.
The adhesive rubber needed to attach the pick-up to the instrument is included. It can be used several times and is harmless for wood, plastic and metal surfaces.
The AKG C411 PP requires a power supply (phantom power) of 9 – 52 volts. It can be connected to the microphone input of the mixing console or to a phantom power supply via the XLR connector. The connection cable is 3 m long.
