It is primarily used for miking the bass drum, whereby it is simply placed inside the bass drum without additional mounting material. Thanks to the non-slip rubber underside, the microphone does not move by itself. Furthermore, the TG D71c can also be used for other low-frequency instruments such as cajon, grand piano or piano, whereby the compact design and the semi-cardioid characteristic allow an easy positioning of the microphone. Due to the high impulse fidelity, a low response time and a maximum sound pressure level of 148 dB, the TG D71c is also suitable for miking percussion instruments.
