Boundary Microphones

A practical tool for those in the know!

Normally, it is not advisable to place microphones near walls, ceilings or other sound-reflecting surfaces. Boundary microphones, on the other hand, are specifically designed for such situations. They are suitable as room microphones on the walls of larger halls or for use on conference tables. Placed in a bass drum, they capture a well-defined "click" and they allow closed-circuit miking of grand and upright pianos.
