Moving Heads & Scanner

Move, move ya!

Moving Heads are very flexible spotlights. Their motorised suspension, which can be rotated in all directions, makes it possible to programme moving effects that would not be possible with conventional spotlights. Different types of spotlights can be suspended in the moving construction - such as washlights, spotlights, beamlights or matrix effects. Scanners are simpler in construction than moving heads, but still provide moving light. The light source is permanently mounted. Its beam is deflected by a moving mirror and thus projected in different directions. Typical manufacturers of moving heads and scanners are, for example, Showtec, Chauvet DJ, Martin, Eurolite, Expolite, American DJ (ADJ), Cameo or JustIn.
