The Trigon-6 is Sequential's polyphonic version of the classic, smooth and assertive analogue 3-oscillator-plus-ladder-filter sound that defined the early days of the synthesizer era. It is a sound that defined genres. Trigon-6 is Sequential's own modern interpretation of that era.

At the heart of the Trigon-6 sound are three newly developed voltage-controlled oscillators (with triangle, sawtooth and pulse waves) and an optimised version of the ladder filter that Sequential developed for its Pro 3 monosynth. The switchable 2/4-pole resonant filter design features dedicated Drive and Feedback controls that allow you to effortlessly change the sound from crisp to silky and smooth with a simple turn of the pot.

Trigon-6 combines the best features of Sequential's acclaimed Prophet-6 and OB-6 synthesizers: 6-voice polyphony, unmatched playability, a logical signal flow and a small footprint. Trigon-6 is also equipped with a semi-weighted 4 octave keyboard including velocity and channel aftertouch. What distinguishes it from its siblings is its unmistakable sound characteristic, which is created with the help of the three oscillators and the ladder filter. Trigon-6 raises the bar for powerful polyphonic sounds.

Of course, Trigon-6 has the full range of Sequential's synthesis capabilities, including super-fast envelopes, a syncable LFO with multiple waveforms and destinations, a polyphonic step sequencer and an arpeggiator. Best of all, you can control these functions directly with the knobs on the front of the Trigon-6. And the ready-made palette of 500 factory and 500 user presets offers classic basses, leads and pads to kick-start any project.

Sequential's classic Poly Mod is also present, but with enhancements for creative sound design: modulation sources include the filter envelope and oscillator 3 (both with bipolar control). Destinations include the frequency of oscillator 1, 2 and 3, the pulse width of oscillator 1, 2 and 3, the filter cutoff and the feedback. Unison mode is also available - with configurable number of voices (1-6 voices for up to 18 simultaneous oscillators) and key modes.

The dual effects section offers studio-quality reverbs, delays (standard and BBD), chorus, flanger, phaser and ring modulator. The independent stereo distortion effect provides aggressive sound customisation when needed and is 100% analogue.

To add even more classic, organic warmth to an already classic synth, there is the Vintage knob, which allows variations in calibration and component behaviour from voice to voice. The Vintage behaviour can be adjusted from subtle to strong to emulate the stability of a perfect modern instrument or a dated relic.

All of this combined makes the Trigon-6 a modern synthesizer with a bold, versatile 3 oscillator based ladder filter sound. It builds on the past, refines the present and redefines the future in terms of accessibility, portability and playability of an analogue poly synthesiser.
