In addition, the Peak's layout has been expanded so that many hidden controls and functions are accessible directly from the front panel - FM routing, LFOs 3 and 4, all arpeggiator parameters and more - and of course the pitch and mod wheels. Summit also brings a host of new filter options and an audio input for processing external sources with its reverb, chorus and delay effects.
The heart of Summit is three New Oxford digital oscillators per voice, based on the FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chip. In addition, the synthesizer generates authentic analogue-style waveforms with incredibly high resolution, facilitating FM and wavetable synthesis and enabling rich, complex and highly textured raw sounds. Each voice plays on a true stereo signal path of duplicated analogue filters, three analogue distortion stages and analogue VCAs, while you can polish and bring your patches to life with a variety of modulation assignment options and three versatile effects.
