Concentrating on the essentials is an art that Lakewood has mastered. Precious woods, almost natural and pure, radiate their own beauty. Reduction to form and function lets the materials speak for themselves. Here, less is more. European spruce for the top for a complex yet transparent tone. Ovangkol back and sides combine these features with strong bass and a clear overtone spectrum.

The guitar is equipped with the Anthem System by L.R. Baggs. This is a pickup system with a piezo pickup in the bridge, which is complemented by a microphone. The microphone is mounted under the top of the guitar and has very low feedback. The controls of the system are located in the sound hole. There, the volume and the proportion of the microphone can be adjusted. The system reproduces the natural sound of the guitar very well.
