Back in the 90s, exactly this pair was used in a number of noble guitars, which unfortunately no longer play a major role today. Hamer USA and Patrick Eggle are just two examples. While the Jeff Beck delivers a juicy sound that is also pleasing when played clean or distorted, the SH-2 sets itself in scene with a clearly articulated tone that can be traced back to the rather moderate output. In contrast to the early models, polycarbonate coils, sand-cast magnets, base plates with short legs and 4-core shielded connection cables are used here.
