However, the active design allows the sound to be altered in a special way with a few sound-shaping control options. By means of the so-called EXG expander, the highs are boosted while the mids are thinned out at the same time. This creates a lot of brilliance and clarity and enhances the already characteristic overtone content of a Stratocaster. Of course, it also works in the other direction. By means of the SPC control, you give more gas in the lower mid-range. The sound becomes punchy, appropriately designed amps tend to compress, which suits powerful sparkling lead sounds.The set is completely mounted on a pickguard in mother-of-pearl look.
