Tosin Abasi is an American metal and progressive guitarist who naturally prefers 8-string electric guitars. However, he was sometimes seen with a seven-string, so DiMarzio decided to optimize the Ionizer for this number of strings as well.
The Ionizer 7 Neck model has warm lows and clear highs and behaves like a "classic" single coil in split mode.
