If you want to operate several effect pedals at the same time, you have to deal with the question of how much of the original signal will be left in the end with all the cables, circuits and other electronic components. The popular argument of "true bypass" is not always the last word in wisdom. To solve this problem, some manufacturers build so-called buffer pedals that grease the sound at the end and breathe new life into it. The Level Set Buffer from Fender is such a little helper. In an attractively brushed metal housing, the manufacturer presents a device with which you can compensate for level drops. With the Hi-Freq control, losses in the upper frequency spectrum can be compensated. It is precisely this control option that might tempt some people to use the unit as a treble booster. The decision for this is up to the creativity of the user.
