Eventide's Riptide pedal is the result of extensive research into overdrives and uni-vibes. With stereo overdrive and uni-vibe, each effect has two voicings versatile enough for funky bright sounds to explosive and warm lead sounds. The Vibe knob delivers a classic Hendrix-style Uni-Vibe to a full-blown vibrato that's great for modern soul and lo-fi sounds. There is the option to activate each effect individually, change the order and save presets. Drive produces a balanced distortion with excellent dynamics and touch sensitivity. Green" voicing stands for a classic, transparent overdrive, while "Red" voicing offers a crisp, modern overdrive. Vibe captures the harmonic richness and enveloping modulation of Shin-ei's classic Uni-Vibe, but in stereo.
