After the much-discussed Poly Octaver with sliders (POG), which is available in a new edition as POG2, the market demanded a space-saving version. The inventors around Mike Matthews designed a device that gets by with just three controls, which, moreover, were given simple and self-explanatory names. It goes up one octave, down one octave, and that is adjustable, as is the ballance between processed and dry signal. For all its simplicity, the colleague scores with the quality of the sounds: no wobbling, no latencies, the sound comes out flawlessly, regardless of whether it is fed with bass or guitar. This results in variations from a 12-string guitar at the push of a button to rolling growls in solo parts to diving into the lowest frequencies when using drop tunings or an electric bass.Conclusion: The Mikro POG is pleasantly result-oriented.
