The IR-200 from Boss is a pedal-style preamp that allows you to connect your guitar and pedalboard directly to the mixer in any live or studio environment. The internal preamp works dynamically. Eight guitar amplifier types, from classic clean, tweed and vintage A-class to modern high-gain, can be pre-selected. For bass players, there are three amp models with powerful sounds from clean to distorted. The sound can be further processed by means of a gain control and an effective 3-band tone control. A noise gate helps the user to get noise and other unwanted side noises under control. Amp models and cabinet simulations can be stored on 128 slots. Over 150 high-resolution cab impulse responses from BOSS and Celestion Digital are on board.
A micro-USB port functions as an audio interface that can be used in any conventional DAW, and reamping from Mac and Windows is also supported.
