Koko's design incorporates both a transparent clean boost and a selectable mid boost that expands the possibilities of a tube amp and overdrive and/or distortion pedals. The pedal is the result of countless hours of listening, testing and modifying the original circuitry to create a pedal with a smaller footprint while expanding its functionality and versatility. Using a "smart" footswitch, two modes, Linear and Mid Boost, can be preselected. When the unit is switched off, the last selected mode remains active. The frequency switch has been revised and the booster now produces +6dB more output. The pedal has a unique battery monitor that alerts the user to low battery levels. In addition, the battery monitor automatically switches the pedal to true bypass if the battery voltage is too low for the circuit to operate correctly.
