The old Maestro Echoplex tape echo had, in addition to its rather complicated magnetic tape construction, a preamplifier that was used by some guitarists, Jimmy Page should be mentioned, as a booster, primarily to give a proper boost to tube amps of the time that had little gain. The EP101 is an exact replica of the preamp, definitely something for sound gourmets with fine ears.
