For over 35 years, heavy metallers around the world have been swearing by the MT-2. The manufacturer boasts that it is the best-selling distortion unit in the Boss family. Of course, there are reasons for this. For one thing, Boss is a brand that gives many models a long life. What has proven itself is worth preserving, a virtue in this day and age. Of course, a pedal with a name that associates an entire musical style cannot do without the corresponding gain reserves and the necessary bite in the overtone range. The amount of bass that Mine produces is also impressive. What distinguishes the pedal from other good or well-intentioned heavy zerks is the parametric midrange control. Here you have to be very sensitive. A certain mid band can be sensitively scooped or boosted, selectable via the ring of the right tandem pot. This results in truly surprising variations that cover a wide range of needs. Of course, the floor pedal requires that you get to grips with the way it works in order to achieve really good sounding results. If you get involved, you will be richly rewarded. And then the part doesn't even make much noise.
