Tube compressor
Two tubes (one for compression stage, the other for gain) provide natural and tube-warm compression that you are unlikely to get from any other floor pedal. The Black Finger uses a so-called "Optoisolator Photocell" circuit, which is otherwise only found in expensive studio compressors. It works with an internal 300 V voltage, which is the prerequisite for a warm, fat tube sound without losing the attack.
