The Comet uses iconic analogue Bucket Brigade Device (BBD) technology to deliver warm, classic chorus sounds. This all-analogue pedal features a mode toggle switch for more sonic versatility. Earth mode offers a tweaked, shimmering chorus effect, while Orbit mode adds amplitude modulation to the chorus sound, more closely simulating the sonic complexities of a rotating speaker. With the intuitive 3-button layout, you can quickly adjust the depth (amount of pitch variation) and speed (modulation rate) of the chorus, and use the mix control to adjust the amount of pitch-modulated signal that is mixed with the dry signal.
The internal trim potentiometer labelled Orbit allows the user to adjust the amount of rotary speaker effect mixed into the sound when the Mode switch is in the Orbit position. Using a small screwdriver, turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase the Orbit effect and counterclockwise to decrease it.
The True Bypass footswitch triggers the LED lights in the signal horns in the Maestro logo when it is on, so you always know when the effect is active.
