Since its foundation in 1995 by bassist David Boonshoft and amplifier expert Alex Aguilar, Aguilar Amplification has had many years of experience in the construction of bass amplifiers, cabinets and effects units, and is still led by Boonshoft, who is a leader in the development of new products. The core of the company's philosophy is continuous improvement, which is also evident in the Octamizer, a very musically applicable octaver with a broad sound spectrum.
The signal is divided into two paths, the unprocessed and the octave. The octave filter can be used to control a low-pass filter that slightly raises the high end of the octave signal. A filter is also available for the clean signal (Clean Tone). This either boosts the highs and cuts the bass a little, or vice versa. Of course, the volume of the two signals can be adjusted separately from each other.
