The SL 51 is based on the original mother of all board guitars. What the ingenious radio expert Leo Fender created in 1950/51 with the first Esquire, later called Telecaster, was to write music history. This model is very close to the original. Two single coils with Alnico V magnets provide the proverbial twang of the design.
For the hardware, the designers rely on brass and bronze. This has an invigorating effect on the sound of the string rests of the"classic" T-bridge and ensures tuning stability for the in-house tuners. The brass action and pot knobs are also a visual enhancement and at least rare in this price range.
