With the JH-600, LTD has created a monument to the trash metal icon Jeff Hanneman (†2013). Of course, it is not so much the features of the guitar that are tailored to the Slayer guitarist. Here, the manufacturer relies on what has long been tried and tested. A so-called "Super-Strat"-Body, plus an EMG active circuit in addition to a free-floating trumpet are the ingredients that have already found a place on several metal boards from ESP or its subsidiary LTD.
The fact that the guitar makers referred to Hanneman is evident from the H Dagger inlays and the use of a Kahler tremolo, which ergonomically adapts very well to the playing technique of hammer-hard staccato riffs with the heel of the hand partly on top.
