The pickup is a P&O pickup. The pickup is a Seymour Duncan ('59/ JB SH-4), which was used in the 80s and 90s on various high-class guitars by Hamer, Patrick Eggle and ESP. The sound is rich without suffering from dynamic losses. Singing lead sounds and hard riffs are no problem. Because the humbuckers are designed to be split, very sensitive sounds can be elicited from the wood. The Eclipse '87 is well-balanced and has ergonomically advantageous shapings - a testimony to the achievements in guitar building that the Japanese were already capable of in the 80s.
