Jackson's Soloist SLX has been described elsewhere as a remarkably playable guitar, especially when it comes to modern playing techniques developed by the virtuosos of the 80s. The SLX Crackle is clearly a homage to that time, when any kind of shredding, sweeping, tapping and the like showed that there were apparently no technical limits for guitarists that could not be overcome. And - there was no look quirky enough that it couldn't hold its own for a contemporary electric guitar.
