The neck is not quite as slim as the Japanese shredder guitars, but it adds substance to the sound and still lies comfortably in the hand. A clear plus for good playability is the so-called Compund Radius, where the curvature of the quite wide fingerboard decreases towards the body. This accommodates modern playing techniques such as tapping and sweeping.
The sound is convincing. Tight basses and balanced mids, bite in the overtones, everything is adequately transmitted by Jackson's own pickups, without the dangerous mashing at higher distortion levels. Chrunch and clean also suit the guitar well, but who needs that? Specifications
