Ibanez XPTB620-BKF, Black Flat

Electric Guitar / Iron Label
Ibanez began by reproducing US models, which the manufacturer sold to the public for little money, before turning to its own creations. Especially in the 80s and 90s, the instruments, which were hypermodern for that time, became popular with musicians of the hard and heavy community. Famous musicians like Steve Vai or Joe Satriani still play the guitars today.
The XPTB620 goes one step further in terms of exalted looks than the famous "rock fiddles" from RG to Saber. Ibanez already had something like this in 2007 with the Xiphos series.
This model is a rock-solid guitar, but the flashy outfit means that the guitar is not as loud as it sounds. The flashy outfit does not mean that the Asians do not remember proven components, be it the comfortable Wizard II neck profile or the extremely tunable Edge tremolo from their own company. The Okume wood used is quite similar to mahogany and provides the sound spectrum with power and volume in the low mid and bass frequencies. The sound is correspondingly powerful. DiMarzio's D-Activator pickups, which were specially developed for such lowered designs, provide sufficient presence. After all, the guitar is tuned to D at the factory.
The model is very easy to play and thanks to deep cutaways and a comfortable neck-body shaping, the picking hand feels no resistance on the way up. The well-balanced guitar comes with a gig bag, another plus point in view of the exalted design.
