For decades, the Japanese manufacturer Ibanez has been setting standards in playing comfort, reliability and quality. RG models come with ultra-flat hips and wide fingerboards, just right for tapping, sweeping, shredding and all kinds of wacky playing techniques. Not only popular with metal and fusion guitarists.
The RGA series has been around for a while and is based on the very successful RG models. The design is a little snappier, bringing more visual appeal. The present model is optically, neo-German formulated, a firecracker that one may not believe the price.
The construction is rock solid. The mahogany body provides pressure and some warmth in the sound. The bridge construction, where the strings are fed through the body, produces sufficient sustain. The RGA is very suitable for beginners who are already established in their musical preferences, but also as a second instrument for semi-professionals and professionals.
