After the squabbles of the first half of 2018 about the continued existence of the brand, Gibson is taking care of what the company does best: Building good guitars. In doing so, the company has turned to the tried and tested. The Classic has always been a Paula for all those who like it a little more vintage. The top is reminiscent of the Flattops of the 50s, which were built before people became interested in elaborately designed curly maple tops. Open burstbuckers 61 make the tone a little more transparent than we know it from the colleagues with metal caps. For the circuitry, the designers have thought of something nice by designing all pots as push/pull variants. This way, coil tap and phase can be switched, which gives the instrument a variety of possibilities.
