Fender has spiced up its Mexican Player series and is following up with the "Player Plus". In addition to some striking looks, it is modern features that upgrade the instruments. On the one hand, pickups developed by Fender are now used. This model has a humbucker in the bridge position, which offers an optimal balance between transparency and power. The possibility to split the neck pickup via push-pull-poti is another interesting way to shape the tone. One has also chosen an attractive top. In connection with chre-coloured pickup and poti caps as well as a black pickguard, the result is a harmonious appearance with a noble attitude.
The neck is slim with a silky surface and conveys an immediate, pleasant playing feel.
The hardware has been optimised for precision and tuning stability. The two-point suspended vibrato system works precisely and reliably.
With the "Player Plus Top" in limited edition, the Mexicans once again show what they are capable of: Building excellent guitars with high quality standards and very sensible detail solutions.
