Fender guitars from Japan always have that special touch. What began in the 80s as a kind of emergency solution, at that time no instruments of the brand could be built in America, is now enough for the company to bring individual instruments onto the market at intervals, which also convince with a high level of quality.
The limited edition of the Traditional Telecaster feels obliged to the 70s. The neck, characterised by the manufacturer as a "U" profile, seems less bulky in practice than one might expect. Instead, the small fretboard radius creates a pleasant vintage feeling that turns into playing comfort the longer you hold the model in your hand.
A so-called wide range humbucker in the neck position provides a powerful, hum-free tone. The single coil in the bridge position is responsible for the Tele-typical twang. Therefore, the lady knows how to put herself in the limelight with a lively attack, as expected from the construction.
Thus, the model is much more than a variation of traditional designs, but a pleasantly independent instrument.
