Fender guitars from Japan always have the air of something special about them. What began as a kind of emergency solution in the 1980s, when no instruments of the brand could be built in America, is now enough for the company to bring individual instruments onto the market at intervals, which are also convincing due to their high level of quality.
The 50s traditional is oriented towards the early models, which today are considered Leo Fender's first stroke of genius. At the time, only a few believed in the success of the concept. But the guitarists of the then emerging rock'n'roll scene were thrilled, as they could finally keep up with the bläsers that were most popular in the bands at the time.
The guitar is equipped with traditional single coils and produces the typical "Tele twang" with crisp overtone content. The neck, characterised by the manufacturer as a "U"-profile, seems less clunky in practice than one might expect. Rather, the small fretboard radius results in a pleasant vintage feeling that turns into playing comfort the longer you have the model in your hand.
