The Fender Stratocaster has been around since 1954, bought a million times, copied a thousand times and still popular with musicians and music lovers of all genres. Over the decades there have been improvements and modifications to make playing more enjoyable for the guitarist. The neck has a revised finish that feels more natural, and a flatter connection to the body, the Sculptured Heel, which greatly improves playing in the higher registers. The hardware of the series has also been modified. The bridges of the instruments have an asymmetrical neck plate for more playing comfort. The latest double tap humbuckers complete the new V-Mod II single coil pickups. Push-push pots allow for versatile pickup combinations, serial or parallel operation and the Double Tap technology. As a result, the American Professional II series offers improved playing comfort and has become even more versatile.
