When Leo Fender developed the prototype of all board guitars in 1950, he had a vision. He wanted to provide the string guild with an instrument whose volume, thanks to electrical amplification, knew hardly any limits, and which was also resistant to feedback. After all, at that time guitarists usually had to compete with noisy wind instruments and drummers.
Some musicians went on to modify their instruments. Keith Richards, for example, had once modified a Tele that Eric Clapton had given him for his 27th birthday. The Rolling Stone didn t like the single coil in the neck position and replaced it with a PAF humbucker, which in turn pleased buddy Ron Wood so much that he later had a whole series of that type put out.
This model is a replica of the early 50s with the typical features ash body, V-shaped neck, single layer pickguard. In the neck position sits a 59 SH1 by Seymour Duncuan, a pickup that stands out for its wonderfully sparkling, powerful single notes and has already been used on many fine guitars.
