Toni Iommi is rightly considered one of the founders of heavy metal. His monster-heavy riffs and dark compositions opened up completely new worlds of sound in the 70s. For many years, the guitarist relied on a modified 64 SG for his choice of instruments, until many a signature model was tailor-made for him. So Gibson once again felt compelled to dedicate an instrument to the artist.
The simple SG Special is a solid guitar in its reduction to the essentials, which thanks to its P-90 pickups should be equally suitable for jerks and blues - no more and no less. The vintage cherry colouring gives the instrument a traditional touch.
