The Les Paul is still one of the most sought-after designs of so-called solid body electric guitars from Gibson. Epiphone, as a subsidiary of the US giant, has set itself the goal of bringing the feeling and sound inherent in the great guitar legends to the man for little money.
The Epiphone Power Players Les Paul is a 3/4+ version inspired by the legendary shape of the Gibson Les Paul. It has a scale length of 22.73 inches and a slightly smaller body made of mahogany, which makes it light, easy to play and an excellent choice for younger players. At the same time, the model is a passable travel guitar for experienced players. Because of the high-quality components and very decent build quality, it sounds better and stays in tune longer than other "student model" guitars, according to the manufacturer. The bolt-on mahogany neck has a molded shoulder for improved access to the upper frets. The built-in Epiphone humbuckers provide a rich, full Les Paul tone.
