Matthew Heafy is one of the new stars in the guitar sky, who in the best tradition of such acts as Metallica or Savatage with his band Trivium made a name for himself. Back in 2013, Gibson offshoot Epiphone designed him a Les Paul, which served the preferences of the artist with Japanese-Irish-German roots with two essential features. Firstly, the instrument had seven strings, and secondly, it had active EMG pickups, which are known to provide a lot of power and output and therefore enjoy general popularity among the heavy faction.
As part of its Limited Artist promotion, the manufacturer offered us a model with a bright white finish at the end of 2017. The design was carried through in all consistency even on the fingerboard. The purists may be reassured, the white phenolic feels good and naturally takes little influence on the sound with the kind of music.
At the end, we should mention the killswitch, a button that allows staccato interruptions of the signal. It is located in the tone control of the neck pickup
