When the Flying V was introduced together with the Explorer in 1958, it was ahead of its time, so that it was not accepted by the more conservative guitarists. The design flopped colossally, only came into the focus of the young savages in the hippie era and today it is impossible to imagine the guitar landscape without it. Epiphone presents a model based on the original, which has the most important features of the American model.
Body and neck are made of solid mahogany, which brings a lot of warmth and power to the sound. The Gibsons Burstbuckern pickups give the spectrum the necessary bite, resulting in a characterful basic sound that is suitable for a whole range of musical styles, primarily blues, classic rock and hard rock.
