Saul Hudson aka Slash, guitarist of the legendary Guns'n'Roses, Velvet Revolver and Slash's Snakepit, offers the fan community an instrument that is not a Les Paul this time. The London-born guitarist longed for a change and opted for a Firebird with a longer neck and an ergonomically different feel. Gibson subsidiary Epiphone has taken pains not to simply serve up a Billo version of the original. Besides an elaborately designed maple top, the body and neck are of course made of mahogany. Moreover, old master Seymour Duncan was responsible for the pickups. The sound is expressive with a lot of throughput, just the way the artist likes it.The piece is limited to 900 pieces and should not only appeal to confirmed slash freaks. After all, there were several guitarists, Gary Moore, Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamssa and others, who liked to pick up a Firebird again and again.
