Edward Van Halen (†2020), legendary guitarist of the 70s and 80s, had played a few guitars in his life. Kramer, Music Man, Peavey were allowed to adorn themselves with his name. A few years ago, the exceptional artist decided to take fate into his own hands and develop his own line. Years of experience and personal preferences have flowed into the models. The Wofgang Standard is aimed at budget-conscious musicians who want to treat themselves to an instrument by the master, which in terms of design corresponds to the instruments made under Fender's aegis. The ergonomics and playability are truly positive. The sound is snotty and cheeky, as we know it from the first Van Halen records. Two EVH Wolfgang humbuckers mounted directly on the body increase the vibration transmission and provide almost endless sustain. For excessive vibrato playing and spectacular dive bombings, a Floyd Rose tremolo was installed, which, typically for Van Halen, was not under-milled. The American of Dutch descent has always leveraged in one direction, downwards. Fans and musicians will undoubtedly be able to live with this.
