EVH Wolfgang Special QM MN Solar
The Wofgang Special is designed in such a way that it could take Eddie off the hook and go on the Bühne with it. Indeed, in recent years he has only been seen with guitars of this design.
Two powerful humbuckers provide the template for the typical "Brown sound" which is characterised by power and dynamics in equal measure. Of course, it takes at least some skills to get close to the master who wrote music history with "Eruption" and the legendary "Beat It" guitar solo (Michael Jackson). The free-floating vibrato system is only slightly undercut, a peculiarity of almost all guitars Van Halen ever played. It just trembles downwards. The D-Tuna is another feature that was already found on earlier models of other brands. Certainly, the E-string can be tuned one tone lower at the touch of a button, without having to struggle with tuning problems.
The Wolfgangs are perfectly balanced, they feel good whether played standing up or sitting down. It is clear that the instruments belong to a musician who has spent half a lifetime on stages, in studios and at various sesions and can still walk upright.
