The standard model of the SE series has recently been slightly modified. The SE-245 humbuckers in zebra design serve the band's sound even better. The headstock has been adapted and now bears Myers' signum. How does the tonewood prove itself in practice?First impression: The guitar feels noble. It hangs lightly around the shoulders. The finish of the top, the body shaping and especially the matt lacquered neck show the attention to detail. The sophisticated bridge construction, the glued-in neck and the hollow chamber milling give the guitar a lot of substance when played dry.
Electrically amplified, this impression is confirmed. Clean it comes across nice and warm, almost jazzy. In the distortion sector, as expected, it gets down to business in order to adequately implement the tonal requirements of Shinedown.
If you add such delicacies as bird inlays, acrylic pot caps and the immaculately barred top veneer, the price is more than reasonable.
