Ever since George Benson had an Ibanez model tailored to his body in 1978, it has been known that the broad-based Japanese manufacturer is capable of building excellent jazz guitars. The AG75 is a hollow body that should appeal to jazz and blues players in particular, although the moderate price is not the only factor here. The workmanship is impeccable, the playability leaves nothing to be desired. The basswood body delivers a transparently balanced sound. For the workmanship, the designers rely on the Classic Elite pickups already used in other models, which are based on American originals of the late 1950s (PAF). For those who prefer a more jazzy sound, polished strings are recommended. The model comes from the factory with Round Wound 10-52. Playability and quality are at the usual high level that has distinguished all Hollws and Semi-Hollows from the manufacturer for many years.
