The substantial foundation is implemented by two LB-1 "Little Buckers". These smaller versions of traditional humbuckers were first offered in 1962 as an upgrade to the single coils of the time, producing slightly more overtones than the legendary PAFs. Resistance and inductance are roughly between that of a single coil and a typical dual coil, which contributes to the airiness of the LB-1 without affecting its warmth;
