This model is made of laminated mahogany, a wood that is known for its warmth and round low-mids in the sound. Especially representatives and blues and jazz are addressed here. Also all kinds of rock is feasible.
Guilds HB-2 humbuckers provide a powerful implementation of the action, which is reflected in a lively and punchy tone. The fingerboard is kept modern and pleasantly flat with a 12-inch radius and corresponds favourably with the traditional U-profile of the neck.
The sound, playability and workmanship of the Starfire are quite pleasing and it can be said that the models in the series are at least a challenge to competitors in the price segment.
