D'angelico Excel EXL-1 Throw Back Vintage Natural

Hollow Body electric guitar
The current Excel EXL-1 is a modern version of earlier jazz guitars, like those built by company founder John D'Angelico in the 1950s.
The guitar is a thoroughbred hollowbody and is very well suited for styles between jazz and blues. Even rockabilly should be no stranger to it.
A 17 inch wide, 3 inch deep body exudes a warm, woody archtop tone that is adequately transmitted by a single Seymour Duncan Johnny Smith mini humbucker. The guitar cannot deny its look back into history. Old-school mother-of-pearl fingerboard inlays on an ebony fingerboard lead to a scroll-style headstock designed by John D'Angelico in the 1930s, which is noticeably more minimalist than other designs from the brand's designs. The pickguard is made of satin ebony. The spruce top with multiple bindings has decorative f-holes.
Playability and handling are beyond any doubt. The slightly flattened neck invites virtuoso playing. A high-quality case is included in delivery
