With the MVX150, VOX presents its current flagship with Nutube, a new tube generation. The Nutube tube was introduced in 2016. It has the same construction as a conventional tube, but without the inconveniences that were previously accepted for the sake of sound. Other advantages of this approach are that the amplifier is more economical in consumption and more compact, and that the new type of tube has a significantly longer life expectancy.To fully exploit the Nutube potential, the amp included a Nutube in both the preamp and the power amp. The newly developed power amp uses NuPower technology and offers sound quality and performance at least equal to conventional tube amps. The two channels cover all sound variations from clean to high-gain. The MVX150 also features a WET ONLY output, which only outputs the signals from the built-in reverb and effects loop.The MVX150C1 combo includes a UK-made Celestion Redback speaker with a wide frequency response and enough reserve for the output power of the amplifier section.The MVX150 series represents a new development in the amplifier segment, which is intended to strike fear into the hearts of both seasoned tube amplifiers and often prohibitively expensive boutique amplifiers, says the manufacturer.
