The T40 is a medium tube amp, which is mainly dedicated to vintage sounds. Channel 1 presents itself with pleasant clarity, which does not miss the typical tube warmth. A separate gain control even allows a slight compression at full stop, which grows into a slight overdrive with powerful pickups. Channel 2 continues where the first channel leaves off. When turning up the gain pot, the user gets to deal with a moderate rock sound. Hi-Gain-Metal is not to be made with the T40, for this it would require further decomposition units in pedal form.
Thanks to the two 12-inchers, the sound is extremely powerful. Club gigs, recording sessions, even medium stages should not be a problem for the combo.
